Director of Marketing and Communications

Our client is a successfully established business. 

Looking for an experienced and creative marketing individual to own the strategic direction of the business. Defined as products, experiences and services – connecting communities and providing opportunities on a global landscape. This is a stellar role for a determined individual to be a part of a fast paced agile growing start-up. In this position, you will use multiple platforms of communication to increase brand awareness through media campaigns.

Being an experienced self starter, you will provide recommendations on a team structure and lead your own team to assist in delivering the vision of stakeholders. This role holds a key position in the organisation, the ideal candidate must possess leadership skills and the demonstrated ability to collaborate with all stakeholders in the company.

 

Key Focus 
Drive growth, awareness and revenue. Maximising performance and output for all digital channels and activity. This includes and is not limited to: social media plan and execution; brand digital strategy; and analysis and reporting. 

Expected prior experience + skills

  • Development and implementation of digital strategy

  • Highly experienced in analytics and identifying effective marketing channels 

  • Management of eCommerce website and any required optimisation

  • Social Media experience 

  • Project Management of businesses in transformation and or start up phase

  • Management of website content

  • Fiscal management of Digital/Marketing budget

  • Strong Leadership skills and managing direct reports

  • Experience building robust relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels

  • Creating strong business cases and making recommendations

  • Experience with creation and implementation of digital strategy

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with a keen eye for detail

  • Multi disciplined advertising sales 

  • Comfortable with reporting and establishing ROI from digital campaigns

  • Email marketing/EDM strategies

  • Copywriting confidence an advantage

 

A few expected duties

  • Working with business stakeholders and translating ideas and strategies into member experiences

  • Propose business/brand plans to increase digital consumer loyalty and increase brand awareness including competitions and promotions, loyalty programmes, member collaborations 

  • Creating various campaigns and promotion ideas; collaborating with partners. 

  • Implement ongoing SEO improvements

  • Create and manage SEM/PPC campaigns and Google Ads

 

Social Media 

  • Management of direct report – Social Media Executive

  • Implement both paid and organic strategies in line with marketing strategy

  • Work closely with Social Media Executive to ensure best ROI with Facebook Ad Manager & Google Ads

  • Track growth and maintain analytics reports to provide up-to-date information to upper management – across online, digital recruitment and social media

  • Develop a social media plan and strategy

  • Oversee the content management in text, photography and videography

  • Review of social content ensuring that it is effective and relevant

  • Set targets to increase followers and engagement

  • Follower review – ensure that our audience is engaged and targeted through analytics of current and new followers

  • Cross promotional ideas – incorporating partners to increase following 

  • Social planning for all PR/Events and seminars

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly report, showing clear ROI as well as opportunities to optimise new members, awareness & increase revenue

Website

  • Overall content review and update

  • SEO/Search engine advertising, internet marketing and opportunities to increase all levels of memberships through SEO

  • Create and manage SEM/PPC campaigns and Google Ads

 

EDM/CRM

  • Develop initiatives for an email marketing strategy and schedule

  • Management and reporting of membership database including location, demographics

  • Reports identifying analysed opens/clicks/response and effectiveness of all EDM’s

 

Internal Digital Communications

  • Develop and manage internal newsletter communications updating stakeholders and employees with key information and company updates

  • Develop and manage company Facebook page sharing highlights and other information to maintain an engaged culture and workforce
